What you’re paying for

The village of Mont-Saint-Michel is a living community. Access is free, unrestricted and open 24/7, with no ticket or booking required: you can walk up the Grande Rue at 6:00 am without anyone asking you anything. What you’re paying for is simply a guide who, for one and a half to two hours in a small group, shares the story. Depending on the option chosen, the meeting point is either at the Corps de Garde des Bourgeois, at the entrance to the Mont, or at the Bas Pays in Beauvoir.

Key point before booking: abbey entry is not included. If you want to visit it on the same day, you’ll need to buy a separate ticket at the monument’s official rate — details on the abbey tickets page. Combined, it comes close to the cost of a private tour for two, which includes the ticket.
